New 263-unit apartment complex coming to Jacksonville’s Southbank
“Construction should start soon on a new 263-unit apartment complex on the Southbank. Alliance Residential closed this week on 3 acres where Crawdaddy’s restaurant once stood.
It paid $6.5 million for the property between the Duval County School Board building and Lexington Hotel Jacksonville Riverwalk. Called Broadstone River House, the complex will be six stories high on the river, five stories on Prudential Drive.
Tim Graff, vice president for development at Alliance, said fences should go up and site work begin in the next few weeks. Construction will take 24 to 30 months, but the first units should be ready in about 12 months, he said.
He estimated the cost of construction at about $26 million.”
